14 Day Quarantine To Be Lifted

With the introduction of a 14 days quarantine for travellers coming back to the UK to reduce the spread of the virus, it has now been announced that this will soon be scrapped later this month.

The new exemptions mean from the 10th July, people arriving from Spain will no longer need to self isolate for 14 days after their trip away in the sun, unless you have travelled through a non exempt country.

The list of exempted countries will be under constant review with the ‘Traffic Light System’, and if there is an increase in risk, self isolation measures may be reintroduced.

Grant Shapps the Transport Secretary has said the move marked "the next step in carefully reopening our great nation".
