One of the world’s most incredible new festival experiences has lit up the sun-kissed Island of Mallorca once again.
Origen Festival has just brought down the curtain on a second sensational summer with the likes of Elrow, Ritchie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Marco Carola electrifying sell-out crowds of more than 8,000 revellers.
Origen festival exploded onto the scene in 2018 and has since cemented its place as Mallorca’s biggest outdoor electronic dance music event.
The festival might only be in its infancy, but it’s already turning heads across Europe with dance music devotees jetting in from London, Ibiza, Barcelona, Mexico and beyond for this next-generation party.
It was Magaluf’s best-kept secret…until now.
But rave reviews and a growing reputation for an incredible show with a breathtaking phantasmagoria of sights, sounds, music and mayhem has put Origen firmly on the festival map.
Following in the footsteps of events like Warehouse Project and Electric Daisy, Origen is part of a new breed of festivals emerging that exist to create a truly immersive and out-of-this-world experience for the crowd.
‘Welcome to Musical Eden’ says the festival strapline, and what has been created here is truly Edenic in every sense of the word – an earthly paradise of delights for the discerning dance music disciple.
Nothing is more emblematic of this than the stunning and spectacular show staged by the epic and electrifying Elrow at Origen 2019.
Elrow is renowned for bringing a taste of the carnival to clubbers with a crazy kaleidoscope of colour, theatre, acrobatics, inflatables and a blizzard of confetti, all underscored by an infectious techno beat.
The packed-out, 8,000-strong Origen crowd got both barrels of pure pandemonium with Elrow, who kickstarted the first of 4 red-hot summer shows in June, before smashing the doors down in an incredible grand finale closing party in September.
Mallorca has never seen such like and already demand is building for Origen 2020 for more packed-out dates.
The rise of Origen has been meteoric – and it’s not surprising that it’s now attracting festival lovers in their thousands from Magaluf which is 20 minutes down the road.
In days gone by, BCM and Stage were pulling in DJs like Steve Aoki and Tiesto to play huge outdoor parties at the old Mallorca Rocks Hotel.
But now Stage is no more, Origen has taken over the baton to become the biggest outdoor arena event in EDM on the island.
Situated just outside Palma, the festival is a blissful nine-hour music marathon with the 8,000 capacity raving from 4pm to 1am under the sun and stars.
To add to the hype Origen has just dropped the news on now expanding the Origen Arena from its 8000 Capacity to now 12,000 including the brand new addition of a second Stage. Yes thats right people Origen Fest 2020 is about to get even BIGGER and BETTER.
