Magaluf has become one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe due to its wild nightlife, picturesque beaches and overall fun, energetic atmosphere. But, what can you expect when you are travelling to Magaluf and around the town? Our Feel Summer team have prepared a quick guide to advise those that haven’t visited Magaluf before on what to expect.
As a popular clubbing holiday destination, there are frequent flights available during the summer months from all of the mallorca airports in the UK at very reasonable prices. As with accommodation, it is important to book your flight tickets early to ensure the best deal or package. Flights from the UK to Mallorca Palma Airport take around 2 hours 15 minutes with Spain an hour ahead of UK time.
When you arrive at Mallorca Palma Airport, you will need to travel to Magaluf. But, there is no need to worry, as this is a busy tourist airport with plenty of travelling options for transfers into Magaluf. The most reliable and efficient option for most groups will be pre-arranging a shuttle bus to take you to your accommodation. The Feel Summer team feel that this is the most comfortable option with acclimatized vehicles and only a 25 minute journey. Although normal buses may work out cheaper, they generally take longer and will involve taking two buses, one into the centre of Palma and another into Magaluf. Taxis from the airport may be a preferred option for some holidaymakers without stops at other accommodation, however, prices are around €40 into Magaluf with a surcharge from the airport. If you have a holiday budget, this may put a dent in your funds.
When you are in Magaluf, taxis are available to take you in and around town. They can be hailed in the road or are available from taxi ranks around the resort. They can also be booked over the phone but a surcharge will be paid for the privilege. However, if you are heading out for the nightlife, it is important to remember that costs increase between the hours of 9pm and 6am. Our Feel Summer team actually suggest avoiding taxis where you can as all of the best restaurants, bars and clubs in Magaluf are located on or near the Main Strip; even the beach is near by. If you are watching your money, you can easily save euros by walking around the resort.
