(Playa de Magaluf) is the leading beach of Magaluf with its soft white sand and crystal clear waters.
In the heart of Magaluf, Playa de Magaluf is the longest beach in the resort at some 900m in length and the most popular.
By day recover on the long stretching sandy beaches, the ideal place for a spot of light swimming and topping up that all important tan. The Soft sandy beach is both a great choice for sun worshippers to relax or alternatively a great place for an adrenalin rush with the option for All kinds of water sports including water ski, jet ski, banana-riding, pedal boats and paragliding. There is even a water ski training school. A perfect location for you and your friends to hang out.
During the summer the beach of Magaluf can be crowded and noisy. Some love it, some don’t. Hosting its own Jetee the Magaluf beach is one of the main meeting points for all the major Booze cruises in Magaluf – which again adds to its ideal location.
Along the Magaluf Beach front your find a selection of shops as well as chill out restaurants and bars. At the top end of the beach your will also find the Famous Nikki Beach Hotel and in the middle the also famous Sol wave hotel – Host to Magaluf first every surf Machine.
There is a small island about half a mile offshore ‘Isla de sa Porrassa’, (The island is known by tourists as “Big Rons Island” ). The name originated quite a few years ago when a young holiday maker who visited the island, decided he didn’t want to go home and so lived on the island all summer whilst working in Magaluf. You can visit BIG RONS ISLAND by pedal boat or swim out if you are a strong enough swimmer – however be aware that it is a lot further that it looks.
If you plan to rent a sun lounger on the beach then the prices run at an average €12 a day for 2 loungers and an umbrella. However this can eat into your hard earned spending money – amounting up to €120 for 10 days. Alternatively you can always use your towel or a li-lo and buy a parasol in the supermacado for €10-€15 – this way is much cheaper.
